Firefighters in safety gear attend to a car accident scene with a fire engine in the background.

With the advanced safety features built into modern cars, it’s easy to feel like you’re riding around in an invincible cocoon. But as a report in the Norman Transcript reveals, automobile collisions can still result in serious injury.

According to the Transcript, an accident happened on Halloween day when a Norman police car (a 2011 Crown Victoria) struck a much smaller car (a 1992 Geo Prism) that had turned in front of the police car. The officer was treated for minor injuries and released. But, the driver of the Prism was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Unfortunately, driving or riding in an automobile can still be a dangerous activity. Recent statistics show that over 69,000 motor vehicle accidents happened in Oklahoma in 2010. Those accidents resulted in injury to over 37,000 people.

Besides injuries, an automobile accident can result in expensive property damage, medical bills, lost wages due to time off from work, and civil litigation.

If you’re involved in an automobile accident, it is important to get strong legal representation. Having an experienced automobile accident attorney on your side can help you recover the damages an automobile accident has caused you.

Attorney Ray Maples has successfully represented Oklahoma City accident victims since 2002. Attorney Ray Maples offers “zero risk representation,” meaning you pay no fees unless he recovers damages on your behalf.
