Max West comes from a family of public school teachers and coaches in Collinsville, Oklahoma. That upbringing instilled in him not only a relentless work ethic, but also the instinct to take complicated issues and effectively communicate them to clients, counsel, judges, and juries—skills Max utilizes in his practice every day.

Max started his career primarily on the plaintiff's side, representing injured people against insurance companies, businesses and other wrongdoers. He then transitioned to one of Oklahoma's prominent civil defense firms, where his practice was primarily first and third-party insurance defense, complex tort litigation, commercial litigation, and product liability litigation.

Those years were an education, as Max learned how claims are actually valued by adjusters and defense counsel, which cases insurers fight and which ones they pay, how defense counsel builds a defense from the first notice of loss, and where a plaintiff's case is most likely to be attacked. Now, Max uses that experience to provide exceptional representation to individuals and families who have suffered catastrophic injuries or even death in cases involving trucking and motor vehicle collisions, defective products, nursing home neglect and abuse, and insurance bad faith.

Prior to beginning his practice, Max earned his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. In law school, Max was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar, a member of the ABA Appellate Advocacy Team, a member of the Order of Barristers, and received the Judge Dwain Box Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy. Max is licensed in Oklahoma and Kansas state courts, and is admitted to practice in all three federal courts in Oklahoma.

Away from the office, Max enjoys golfing, traveling, watching more movies than he probably should, and supporting the Oklahoma City Thunder. He and his wife, Leilah West, also an attorney in Oklahoma City, live in the historic Mesta Park neighborhood in Oklahoma City.
