A native Oklahoman, Jacqueline Piland joined Maples Law Firm in 2012 after her tenure at one of Georgia’s largest personal injury firms. While in Georgia, Jacqueline was selected for inclusion in 2009 and 2011 as a Georgia Super Lawyers® “Rising Star,” a prestigious recognition that only 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are selected for each year.

In addition to her Super Lawyers honor, Jacqueline has been listed as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association since 2008. Jacqueline is also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, known for being one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to lawyers who have won million dollar settlements and verdicts. Jacqueline is a member of the Oklahoma Association for Justice, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Georgia and Oklahoma Bar Associations and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Jacqueline is not only licensed to practice in all of the courts in the State of Georgia and Oklahoma, she is also licensed to practice law in the United States District Courts (Northern and Middle District of Georgia) and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. She currently handles cases concerning personal injuries (slip and falls, auto/motorcycle/atv/trucking collisions, etc), wrongful death, nursing home abuse/neglect, and defective products.

Born and raised in Midwest City, Jacqueline completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.A. in Political Science and obtained her J.D. in 2001 from Georgia State University. Upon graduation she began to work for one of the largest defense firms in the Southeast. After five years at that firm, Jacqueline understood that by working so hard for her corporate insurance clients, she was actually hurting hard-working people. As a result, in 2006, she began to work for one of the largest personal injury firms in Georgia, representing injured victims and their families. In 2012, Jacqueline began working for the Maples Law Firm in order to further help injury victims in her home state.

Jacqueline is married and has two incredible children. She enjoys volunteering for her children’s baseball and basketball teams. Jacqueline was on the Flowery Branch Jr. Falcons Board of Directors, and she was an active volunteer at her children’s elementary school. Jacqueline enjoys rock climbing, hiking, spending time with her family and reading in her spare time.
